The Swing Path Redirector

Master Your Swing Direction for a Draw or a Fade

Sticks: 2
Config: Split
Focus: Full Swing

Drill Objective

This drill is designed to quickly alter your swing path by creating a "gate" using both halves of the pathpal. By positioning the padded rods strategically behind and in front of the ball, you can force your club to travel more to the left (out-to-in) or more to the right (in-to-out) to correct your ball flight

Set-Up

  1. Separate your pathpal into two halves.
  2. For a Leftward Path (Out-to-In): Place one half behind the ball with the rod set high and the second half in front of the ball with the rod set lower.
  3. For a Rightward Path (In-to-Out): Switch the positions of the units so the gate encourages the club to travel out toward the right.

Instructions

  1. Address the ball in the center of the two pathpal halves.
  2. Take practice swings, focusing on swinging through the "gate" created by the rods without making contact with the padding.
  3. To Hit a Fade/Correct a Hook: Use the leftward path setup.
  4. To Hit a Draw/Correct a Slice: Use the rightward path setup.
  5. Start with slow, controlled swings until you can consistently miss the rods, then increase speed as your path improves.
